Nova Levante - Carezza

Pearl of the Alps

Synonym for evocative tourist destinations in the Alps. "Pearl of the Alps" is a guide to the 17 villages that currently are part of it and are located in the Italian, Austrian, French, German and Swiss Alps. All destinations are distinguished by the fact that they offer their guests an alternative transport network with excellent connectivity that allow you to combine fun with a conscious approach towards nature.

Nova Levante

Nova Levante includes, besides its center located on 1.182 m, the vast territory including lake Carezza, pastures, meadows, and forests of medium to high altitude and the two Dolomite-mountains Rosengarten (Catinaccio) and Latemar. Since the opening of the road through the Val d'Ega in 1860, the town has developed economically, manly through the working and trading of timber, and the local craftsmanship. And since the beginning of the new century also tourism began to flourish, mainly because of the natural beauty.

Pastures and mountains, meadows and woods are so intermingled and so close to one another, and all can be reached so easily. Explore forests, climb on ridges and peaks in the footsteps of legendary mountain-pioneers, on over 500km of paths and trails. Or ride the bike or horse, play golf and fly over a breathtaking landscape. And in winter time Alpine and Nordic skiing is offered as well as snow shoeing, sledging, ice skating and may more sports. Here you can find all such choice, and at the ADLER you are just right in the middle of all of this.

The highest woodland plateau in Europe

The Montalto is located in Nova Levante - Carezza, a few steps from hotel ADLER, reaching a 1.756m of elevation. It is reachable on foot or by riding a mountain bike on unpaved roads. The highest point, next to the radio antenna, is an hour walk away.

The Latemar forest, confining the hotel, is a source of particular wood, which is used for the construction of musical instruments to be played with an arc, such as a violin, or to be pinched. This spruce wood from the Latemar is an ambassador of the region and is present in almost all of the most prestigious concert halls of the world.
